Do you have a song that you have already performed to that is within that time? I am not sure I'd want to start with a new song and learning a new routine so late in the game.
Don't you have something that you've done in the past that you could just sort of update or spice up a little?
For the future I'd learn a set of dance routines one for each time allowance. A three-four minute, a five to six minute etc. Anyway maybe several as time went on and that way when you are asked ot audition you are ready, cause you practice those routines every time you practice. My daughter is a magician and that is what she does. She adds new routines, but she keeps practicing the old ones... even if you haven't practiced one recently just having done it before would make it better.

I dance to waht fits the occasion, not just to be dancing., Bellydancing is more than just a dance to me. It means soething so much more. I've always improvised so I don't have a set choreography for each time span. Now I'm going to. I came up with a foundation last night whle listening and visualizing so it won't be so hard. I'll perform it on Sunday, and spice it up for the audition. I also have the performance on that same night so I have three choreographies to work on.
