I just wanted to say to hello to everyone. I know I don't have much input on this board, but I do worry about how all of y'all are doing and hope you are all doing well.

Hi Shutter Bug,
Things are awfully quiet here but I think it's just that everyone is so busy. I've been doing a lot of content writing. Del is working in China, and can't even get the site to open up sometimes. Kata and Lan have great jobs now and are busy busy... Last I heard MEM was trying to decide on a college.... I'm not too sure what Sephity is up to... but I think everyone is fine.
So how are you?
Kim

I'm great. Been revisiting an old community I felt some kinship too, and thus..distracted.
Also almost prepared for what should be a powerful (and insightful) invocation of Spirit. I was thinking about posting it here when I was done. It's in progress on my LJ though (Kim...).
Beyond that, I started to look into Ceremonial Magick, see if it might be something worth looking into further.

I'm good. I've been super busy, between work, school, homework. . . Life is getting insane. But good insane.
My mom got a job! She seems to have been sober more since getting hired (yay), and I'm super excited for her.
I've applied to one college and am almost done with my essay for the second. I'm nervous, but it's a good nervous.
I've been sick for about a week now, complete with dizziness, light headedness, and a constant headache. My fever finally stopped spiking to over 100 yesterday. I hope I get better soon, because this blows.

.:.poke.:.
Did somebody call me?
Hey guys! Just taking some time out to check in. It's been busy here at work and I'm still trying to settle in. It will take some time.
Let's see....well everyone, from entry-level to management has inquired as to why I wear my headdress to work. You'd think that an educated person would know better than to wear a fashionable item with a company's uniform; a company that prides itself on appearance. I've stated it has everythin to do with my 'religious' practice amd nothing to do with fashion. So we have the regional supervisors visiting my center tomorrow. We'll see how it goes.
This past Sunday was wonderful! It's the day I have my favorite class (only because I'm their first teacher and it being the only class I didn't take over from someone else); as I walked into the clubhouse to pick them up, they all began shouting my name. The beautiful thing about that was all of the parents in the waiting area was able to see and hear how much my students enjoy being in my class (there's been talk about how I look and parents have questioned my origin and qualifications b/c my skin isn't pale enough).
What else...I'm not dating; I'd be damned if I dated a Chinese man. Why would I want to date someone that cannot think or live for themselves? Not in a selfish way, but as a wellrounded adult? Most Chinese men would rather break a two year engagement to the woman they love and listen to is mother than to stand his ground (true story I just bore witness to). Besides, 99.9% of them are chainsmokers... >.< not going to work.
Friends: nope. Yes, I'm as selective with ppl as I am with my food. I don't like going to bars or nightclubs, sorry. There are those I'd prefer to be in the presence of (and they're not foreigners) but friendship in my eyes takes some time and effort that requires a lot.
Besides, I just want to settle in at the moment.
I live in a business hotel and it's my sanctuary. I honestly rather not leave on my days of. The air on the outside is really not good...it's worse than NYC.
As you may notice, I'm using my iPod to post this message; my Internet connectivity isn't the greatest when they're a lot ppl at the hotel and I don't feel like turning on my computer.
Big bro!!! I'm here, & I miss you too. ^_^ I know China is one of the smoggiest places on earth, but I have to be here for sometime.
Kim!! I sincerely hope you are well. Guess what? Ive decided to study Ifa, and I must give thanks to my education as a psychologist and life coach. Without it, I would still carry misconceptions about Ifa. I'll talk more about it on my day off this week.
Alrighty! Until next time!!
Ja ne!

Hoorah, you posted! I'm glad to hear from you, Del'Anara.
I have more to say, but I cannot focus for the moment.
