Ah yes. Yumminess....Hmmmm....Mmmmmm....
So I've been here for two weeks and two days, went out on a semi-date with a guy the same day I met him [and the HOW I met him is a novel in itself], yet am not attracted to him physically, only intellectually [and that kind of put a damper on his ego], and am grateful for all that I have come across.
So, with that said, I desired someone Yummy. .:.giggles gleefully.:.
And I was open and honest with what I desired [not wanted but desired to see here and now since it already exists; I've experienced that difference on June 1st, 2010], and gratefully let it go from my thoughts.
.:.giggles some more.:.
This week felt like the perfect week to put Anam™ into the spotlight [Anam™ is my/the dance I've always referred to] and I sent two people a message - a man and a woman - and the man answered back. He suggested I rent a room at the library [which would cost me money I could not offer up at the moment], then almost immediately suggested I contact a friend of his. So I friended this person on Facebook and this person almost immediately accept the request.
So I sent him a message about Anam™ and if we could meet in person and talk. I then, out of curiosity went to the studio's website, and saw a couple of pictures of him...and got all giggly.
So his birthday is the day before mine, he's 14 yrs my senior, has two kids [old enough to be my siblings] and has yummy, curly, shoulder length, dark hair. Oh, he's Egyptian.
And taller than me.
And does yoga.
.:.giggles.:.
Anyway, yesterday I decided to go into town and place flyers around for a movement class at the Center I came here to work out of primarily, and was dropped off in front of Smiling Dog Yoga. I figured I go look at the place and see if anyone was there that I could talk to briefly about how to start something there.
Smart thing to do right?
Well, as I rounded the corner of the little cafe in front, I saw someone sweeping the front entrance...and it was none other than:
the Egyptian guy [whom will remain nameless. I'll call him Gyasi - which means wonderful child. He feels wonderful, so it fits. That's my tag name for him.
So I smiled and looked way, since he wasn't looking, and was glad I came at the time I did, but surprised that he too was there at that time.
When I looked back he'd looked up and smiled. I smiled back.
Getting past the intros and the 'I thought you looked familiar' small talk, I went inside and waited for him to finish his opening studio chores.
When he came in, he offered water and we spoke for about 30min. He then said I should contact Lisa, whom owns the studio, and said he'd be happy to assist and support me the best way he can.
How sweet. .:.giggles.:.
Then he gave me his business card. How super sweet. .:.Giggles.:.
And so I leave and I'm beaming from ear to ear...I like his presence, so I would like to spend more time in it...preferably some intimate time too. ;D
SO I spent the rest of the day posting flyers, at barnes and noble on a conference call, and then sat to read a wonderful book. By the time 7:30 rolls around I realize that I won't be getting back to Los Osos [which is where I am currently staying] anytime soon, so I agree to go to the Frog and Peach Pub to see my friend, Scott, the one who suggested I contact Gyasi, play his saxophone and chill out for a while.
Now there are two ways to tell the next part:
1. I went to the frog and peach pub and saw Scott and one of his bands play and they were awesome. As I walk out to get something to eat, Gyasi walks in.
2. I went to Gyasi's FB page to post a thank you to find that he was going to be at the Frog and Peach Pub later that night. I opted not to go because it was going to be late and I had no way of getting back to Los Osos so late into the night, since my roommate was about 30 miles north of Los Osos, which is 10 miles north of where I was - totalling 40 miles - and wouldn't be willing to come get me so late in the night.
And here's how both are so....interestingly synchronous:
I went to Gyasi's FB page and saw that he was going to frog and peach and wanted to go just to see him, but realized that I couldn't because I had no way of getting home. So I called my roommate so she could pick me up within the hour. She didn't pick up the phone.
I then posted on Scott's page to tell him I wish to be there but that I would need a ride home. He suggested i ask one of his friends that lives in Los Osos to give me a lift. So I said ok I'll be there.
My roommate calls about 45 mintues later and says she's in Cambria [which is about 40 minutes north of where I was at the time] and says that it will take her a while to get to me. Since it was almost 9pm, I told her that I'll stay in town for a the pub and that she didn't have to come get me.
I go to the pub at around 9:30 and watched Scott play. He was happy to see me, as I was to see him. he's an awesome instrumentalist. THe whole band was great, actually.
But I didn't see Gyasi right away. So I decided to go get something to eat so I could enjoy some wine, and because I was hungry.
When I left, there he was, a the door, twirling his hair. I was surprised to see him again, actually, cause it was at that moment that I realized it was a surprise to see him the first time.
I got back, at my quesadilla, drank my wine, listen to Gyasi play hte drums, and Scott play the sax...met an Irish woman and talked with her for a while....
And was sort of caught in the act...
I was listening to the music, then decided to look over at Gyasi and oogle his hair. I just want to play with it myself .:.cheeks hurt now.:.
He then turned and looked at me, smiled and turned away. I don't think he was expecting me to be watching him. Soon after that, he left.
And yes, I would like to see more of him. ;D
Of course, my mother thinks he's too old.
