Since I've been talking with navy recruiters, I've been given information that isn't classified, but not readily available about the state of the world. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure some of this out on their own, but to have one's paranoia confirmed possibly gives you an eerie feeling. Everyone knows what happened in 2003, March. the United States went to war in Iraq. Everyone knows it was to destroy a very evil man who was (confirmed to have been) obtaining various chemical and biological weapons. We found a few nuclear plans and even some starting materials for a program to create weapons. There were reports, but they were hushed, that we found EXACTLY what we set out to look for. That, sadly, is somewhat the truth. The media was completely against President Bush. (yes, I gave him the title he deserved) There were massive issues within the government at that time. Half of the people in the government was against President Bush, however, we did give Saddam every opportunity to come clean and he didn't. Well, recently, while not being entirely public knowledge, but yet not classified as well, have found a bunker in the deserts of Iraq. How we found it was quite simple, a plane leaving Iraq for Afghanistan saw it. A recent sand storm blew the sand off the top of it. In a search, Iraqi police/military found what we ourselves could not find before. Very simply, the amount between two hundred and five hundred tons of biological and chemical weapons that the U.N inspectors failed to find (most likely due to either internal leaks, or simple Iraqi movements before the inspectors searched a place).
Another thing I would like to state, and it may entirely be nerves, however, I feel I should state this. It has been said before, every year since 2001 actually, that something will happen on the anniversary of September 11th. I have never felt that anything would happen. July 4th this year, however, I felt like something was going to happen, and we were attacked by hackers. I am feeling that we are going to see something similar to that on the 11th, only on a larger scale. Things that I've heard while in the government buildings and speaking to law enforcement while applying at the Police department for a civilian job have stated that we are at an unofficial red alert in Washington DC, New York city, Kansas City, St. Louis and most of the South West. Officially we are at yellow, however, as to not cause panic. Something has spooked someone high up with the hack attack on the 4th of July. I am of the mind we should all be watchful and observant anyway, however, this year, we should be extra vigilant, especially as the world deteriorates. Our economy is coming back, true, but we are just beginning to understand that our enemies are growing in number. We are still only fighting several small terrorist groups, however they are recruiting heavily again. We no longer have an accurate count of how many people are in Al Qaeda or Taliban. I do not see an easy time for the US for the time being, or for the rest of the world.
The world is F**ked, plain and simple and I'm not censoring this. There is no simpler way to put it. We should, meaning the people of the United States, watch out own backs as much as possible. Something is going to happen this year and we're not going to get aid when it happens. I feel it will be another cyber attacked, but I could be wrong. There's evidence supporting another large scale, non-internet based attack just as much as another cyber attack. There is no way to know until it happens. All I know is SOMETHING will happen this year and that something will either make or break the American people. We are a free people, but that freedom comes at a price, that price being eternal vigilance. Carry on...

Lan, you haven't said anything about this to me. I hope your wrong about all of this. If you're not, then I guess we'll see the ripples astrally. I also think that you are a little paranoid sometimes, wolfy. I'm only posting because it's where I found out about your feelings about this issues.

As far as the war... or any war in history, any assasination in history, or any historical figure, there is so much conflicting information it is impossible to get a straight answer... there is no truth available only propaganda and POV. No one even knows who Killed JFK. No one can truely verify that Hitler died in Germany... it's assumed. They have a body, but people speculate it could have been one of his doubles... Heck the Catholic Church is still attempting to justify the Albigensian Crusade which occured in the 1200's... and they say it was regretable but justified. WTF... and that was 800 years ago. Yet they state their case against the heritics, some of whom they brutally tortured to death, others they threw into fires alive, until all were dead... Every man woman and child of them were killed... and today they say in their encyclopedia that they were not even Christian. This is not true, they were Christian, but how do you prove that? You can't. With Iraq in shambles how can you prove weapons of mass distruction or not.. you can't. We know they had some at one time, because the Nixon administration shipped them to them.. or at least someone had so called proof of that... who knows. It all depends on who's propaganda you choose to believe. It is a choice as to what you believe, and I respect yours to believe as you will... I sure do, but be aware there is a lot of false information out there. There always is. It comes in all flavors, conservative, anti conservitive, liberal, anti liberal, green, anti green, comunist, and anti comunist. Who do we trust? Who freaking knows... follow your gut, follow your heart... follow your wallet... follow what you discern. It may be right for you even if it isn't what seems right FOR me. I say that about everything else, why not politics? As for dire predictions... well I have made my share. We all have, and we all sense something coming. You think foreign terrorists, I think bio engeneered plague of domestic origin. Maybe the veil WILL fall, or we will have an international zombie attack... yes, I actually think that is possible... or at least something that looks like that... maybe a bio engeneered cross between rabies, and leprosy. (That would be really freaky) who knows... but I agree something is coming, and just as people say that God appears in the form you expect... Jesus, Krishna, Virgin Mary, Vishnu... and it is always the right one... well except for us, we know them all, but your average Baptist isn't going to have a vision of Krishna. It would rip him out of frame. So even our own eyes form the part of the picture that is missing... sometimes we get it right, and sometimes we are only close... but I agree something might happen, and Perhaps on Sept 11, but definitely in the next few years, unless it can be averted. If something is forseen it is so that it can be averted, or at least prepared for... so we'll do a little of both.

All I know is that Cheney was running most of it behind W's back. Bush wanted to do things right but Saddam forced his hand. Also, you CAN prove that they had bio and chem weapons even now. They had it then, they used them as recently as Desert Storm, and there've been certain residues left behind at some of the suspected production plants. These would have broken down after a few weeks. They found the residues a few days after the stuff was moved out and burried in the bunker that was recently found.

By prove, I mean prove like agnostics want proof that God exists, and like skeptics want proof that Ghosts exist. If you present photos they could be doctored. If you present witnesses they could be lying. If you present lab results those could easily be falsified. If you bring your ghost or God on national live TV well it could be a hoax... and it probably would be at that point. We all know God is Camera shy, and the ghosts would drain the batteries on all the TV cameras. LOL
There are a lot of people who would doubt any evidence that did not agree with their previous opinion... and there is no iron clad proof of anything this day in age. Things that used to prove things, can be created in Photo shop by kindergartners, or trained chimps. It is so easy, and people do it constantly now. There is conflicting evidence, conflicting stories, and no one knows who to believe. In the end it is down to a choice. Do you like the person or not. If you like him... then you find it easy to believe good about him. If you hate him, then it is fun to believe the bad stuff... we only know by our instincts and our predisposed opinions.

To prove diffinativly would be impossible with everything. There's no such thing as 100% proof of anything, even that life itself exists.

Exactly that is what I mean, and some people will argue with you that the sky is green, just to hear themselves talk... and you can't prove otherwise.
Other people believe in a cause, a government, a political party, or a religion, to the point they don't even hear anything else. If you did manage to convince someone who has based a large portion of their life on something that they are wrong, you risk destroying them, or at least making them completely faithless. Something deep like that may evolve over time, but abrupt changes in a firmly held belief, can be extremely dangerous psychologically... it works better if you offer them something else to believe in, but just taking something away... very sad.
I know a guy who used to be a deacon in the Jahovia's witness church, and some guys at work showed him places in the bible that "proved them wrong" and that kind of proof is possible, because many religions base all their beliefs within one book, and believe it absolutely. Therefore the book is absolute proof. Anyhow... They convinced him that the Jahova's witnesses were wrong on many counts, but failed to convince him the Baptists, or anyone else was right, and he went totally nuts. He no longer associates with any of his family or friends, he had an affair, and got a got a divorce. His former church members are obliged to shun him.... even down to his own parents. He had a nervous breakdown, and even his health became very unstable. My point is that sometimes people have too much invested to change their minds, even if they are wrong.
With politics people believe what they believe, because of their percieved identity. When their percived identity or place in the world changes, or the group they most identify with changes, their opinion changes. Until then they will be on the side they are on.
Most normal, logical people believe stuff for a variety of reasons, and believe me, "because it is true," is pretty far down the list with most people. LOL More common reasons are, "To Justify what I do." To justify not doing something I don't want to do." "To make the decision making process easier," "Because I like or have to afiliate with OTHER people who believe this, and it is just easier." "Because I was raised that way." or "Because my friends believe it."
Visionaries believe what they believe because of their visions, but visions conflict sometimes... Remember the Stephen King book, the stand? People had visions of either Randal Flag being glorious, or of the truth of what was happening. Some people had a few of both kinds of visions, but eventually one or the other convinced them. Real spirituality is more complex though, and there are a lot more options than two. It isn't always black and white right and wrong, though sometimes it is... sometimes it is just a matter of being repelled by opposite energy, or information that conflicts with they bulk of what you arleady believe, which may or may not be based in the truth... It is those things we do not question, that seem basic, or assumed logical, yet are suprisingly incidental, which are usually the cause of misconception, when we are faced with conflicting information.
