OK
So I was on the train yesterday, on my way to rehearsal in the afternoon, listening to my music as usual...when something odd happened.
And if any of you have any ideas as to what happened, I am all eyes and ears:
So I would close my eyes to visualize and enjoy my music, periodically opening them to see what stop I am at in the subway. When there was one moment where I open my eyes and see this huge guy standing at the door. His back is to me, and I am not sure if he was on the train itself or if happened to slip into another reality for a split second, but he was a huge guy {muscle bulk not fat} and had on this long black leather jacket, black boots, and black pants {that were probably leather too} that seemed a little baggy around the ankles. Not overly baggy, but they weren't dress pants or jeans.
And the feature that really caught my eyes was his hair. It was in locks, and they were soooooooooooooo loooonnnngggg. I mean they touch the back of his calves, and he looked to be about 6feet tall.
It was such a wierd sensation that I had to readjust for a few minutes. I saw him as clear as day, and then he just vanished. I also felt out of place when I did see him, as if I was spinning around for a few minutes and then stopped...dizzy in a way.
Any ideas?
My mother said it could have been a spirit....

Sounds like you did a little time slip thing. That happens alot, especially if you tend to trance out when you're listening to music.

If that's the case, I do that alomost every time I go out. Sometimes I see myself doing things {interacting with people, as if it were another part of myself} at the same time I am on the train or bus.

That's pretty much it...you inadvertently slip partway into another plain, or into another time, while in this plane/time.

Yes, it is. But it takes a certain talent...or skill...and I couldn't begin to describe how to do it.

I noticed that when I am really tired and I am halfway between awake and asleep, but yet aware consciously, it's really easy to slip into with music playing. I jsut do it, but not without those elements. It's just that yesterday's occurance was just so....vivid. Could it be possible to be stuck between or in that reality than this one?

The time part of the etherial, is just one of the many layers. You can adjust your vision to see different layers, but overall it is just a re-inactment of what has happened before. IT is usually some moment with a lot of emotion behind it. When people are afraid, or angry or excited it usually leaves a little imprint of the occurance on that astral layer. Of course it could have been another layer of the astral. There are many different kinds of entities on the many layers of the etherial. Without being there, and with you only describing a short period of time, it is very hard to say what this being was, or what level he was on. If you have time to observe the shadows of the past as I call them... then the only dead give away you are looking on that layer, is that they don't react to the people around them at all. They don't sense you looking at them, or react if you go up and speak to them. Other entities on other layers tend to react to people in their general vacinity... but then on a train... even physical people don't always react to people they are near.
He could have been just as Dania said, a time slip... a little bit of human energy making an imprint on the layer that records the history of a spot. He could be some sort of disincarnate spirit, or he could have been an astral assassin, or spy... or some sort of angel or demon or something in between... it is really hard to say, and the energy you felt off him would tell you much more than just seeing him. I see things like that a lot. Sometimes I know what these things are doing, but most of the time I don't get a full explaination for a chance meeting like that. He's a lot like the other people you saw on the train in that way. You don't know who he was, or why he was there, any more than you know that about any of your other fellow passengers.
I've been seeing stuff like that since I was a kid, and I have a lot more sightings than I do answers. The real point is that you opened up and saw in the astral realm. If you can learn to recreate your mood, at will, then you will have learned how to see on that realm... whatever realm it is. You already see on some realms... and.. er how much like seeing an angel or a demon was it? I gather it was different? How was it different?

If I was in some sort of state, then the shock of coming out of it and seeing him at the same time is what mde seeing him so disorienting. But he felt like a fighter: either an assassin or a warrior type. Not exactly like an angel or demons I have come across...this probably isn't helping much...but...I don't think he knew I saw him or he probably would have turned around. It could have very well been what you were describing in your post. Buth e felt feral, like the kind of energy you from being around a man set for battle..a fighter of some type. Bold, strong, and powerful. Del

Sounds hot... yummm... JK... anywho... it sounds like you had a not so close encounter, with someone of power... probably incarnate. Don't know what his mission was, but I guess since he didn't approach you his mission didn't involve you? Unless he communicated with you while you were in trance, and you don't remember for some reason. Maybe he had delivered a message, and you just saw him walking away?

With what I have been seeing and sensing lately, I wouldn't put it past that notion either. And if he did pass me a message, I couldn't tell ya what it was cause I cannot recall. HIs locks were super long, and a deep brown, like a bronzen brown with a very slight shimmer to them...as if they were lightly misted with misty rain and the light from the moon... Strange things are happening....

Strange things indeed are happening. ***
Ok, sorry for not continuing the thought, but I had to leave for school when I posted orignially.
I've never had that situation, but I can appreciate it. I've seen people in white physically, that are enveloped int he darkest dark I've ever seen. It kind of scares me. Ash said she sees em too astrally. I don't know who they are though. More on this when I get more info.

Sounds like a gatekeeper to me actually, those who drift between worlds checking any inconsitant transfer of energies or disallowed pathways. That's what first came to mind when I read this, but it's an instinctual answer so it may be wrong. Instinct did say though taht you will see him again.

He looked good from afar...wouldn't want to come across hiim again unless it were necessary...
