I never post anything like this, so I'll try to do the best I can, never really post any of my experiences. I also don't know if this is an appropriate board, if not someone please place it in a more appropriate area.
But, Tonight I was gettin' dropped off at the woods in a neighborhood behind mine and I had to run home(I'm a teenager, just tryin' to get home on time). When I came to the path in the woods, I just felt really, well honestly scared. I usually don't feel like this, I've walked through these woods in pitch black, i know it so well. I suppose the reason this happened was because I've been away for a while.
Any way, long story short, I was walking through them and i had gotten my knife out just in case someone was in the area and that was why i had been worried for no reason. Nothing seemed to happen on that front, but after walking about halfway through i became calmer and felt sort of like my higherself was interfering with my state of mind. The best way I can explain it is that i felt like I was just an elf walking through my familiar woods again.
Sorry, don't think this is anything major i guess, just figured I should post a story or rather experience with yall.

So you've had a pleasant experience of the rawness of Nature in all of her glory, at night, in the woods. Anytime I need a rush of power to just get out of depression, I'm actually called to the woods or forest, or the temple even, and once I step into it, that same thing you've just described happens. I went into the mountain valley a couple of months ago, and this is on an open road now, and I felt scared. The power was just immense and I've never expereinced it in America. No this intense. Allowing it to wash over me and to go into the source of it I found gold. I was shown that flow of existence and creation. Basically, if you can integrate into that flow, you can create just as Nature creates. Anyway, congrats dude!

Congrats, my friend! You're a step closer to whatever it is you're steppin to. ;D Either way, at least you recognized that feeling.... even if you can't summon it consciously, you'll now know what it is when you have it, and that's more than most people hope for.

That's cool. I've felt that before as well, usually near water. It's kind of like "Ok, lets feel more sure about the situation again." I think it's someone watching over you and felt you get really worried, and wanted to make an effort to comfort you, kinda like your higher self, or a guardian or something. Next time you feel that, see if you can't calm your mind enough and listen for a word, phrase or something. Sometimes you can hear the being that's helping to calm you.

Sorry I didn't get to this for a while. I had mixed feelings... It's weird but when I feel that way, I avoid the situation if possible. I generally listen to my instincts. I take it as an omen, so I would have chosen another route... not through the woods, and would have missed the experience. So I am wondering if I cheated myself in the past. Secondly, I am worried about you wandering around in the woods after dark... snakes, rabid animals, er.... weird people lurking in the dark... GOD I hate this mom mentality. LOL At any rate though it sounds like you had a really cool experience, and I am glad. Honestly I think you are much more aware and gifted than you realize. It isn't just hitting you in the face, like in the horror movies, but it never does... that is Holywood, where astral stuff jumps out into physical material view, and that just never happens. Sometimes children experience things and can't tell if it is physical or astral, but in general... and even as an adult, occasionally we will have an extremely vivid experience, but most of the time aware people's perceptions are fairly subtle. That is why we consider it awareness instead of direct experience. Almost anything can interupt that experience... a sudden noise, an unwanted troubling thought, someone yelling for you to do something... These things can rob you of the whole experience, at times, but other times you can regroup. In the woods... alone... awareness heightens. You noticed that, so you are aware. Don't get me wrong I LOVE horror movies, but the only thing I do not like about them is that they make people think that parinormal experiences just jump up and slap you in the face, physically knock you down flights of stairs, and throw you out of windows... they do not. They can spook a horse, or scare your dog, or even scare you, but they do not usually effect the material world. Nor are they always OBVIOUS even to a gifted psychic or other practitioner. For example, it takes tremendous energy for a spirit to telekenses an object, or make themselves felt, seen or heard... on aphysical level. Generally what we see is very subtle, and you just have to slow down and become meditative to notice these subtle things. Now me, at times I have to try, and other times it is overwhelming... it just depends.
