Our cat passed away today, and I felt I should say such somewhere, and here happens to be the place. To be honest, I'm not shaken up at all, I didn't cry, I don't feel numb. I felt that way with my first experience of death (my personal cat, this one was my mom's), but I think what my cat's death offered me was perspective. I am very sympathetic for my aunt and my mom, especially my mom, since they don't share my perspective on death and are very upset. We're going to bury him tomorrow, I think. I'm not sure what time, but the ground is soft.

My cat, Ninja, froze to death after being injured from a car hit..
We couldn't bury him. He sat in a box for 2 days outside before dropped at a vet for burial service. No formal service..
His ear was still soft..I touched it through the bag he was in to keep him from being picked at by animals..
I never swallowed so hard in my life to stop from crying again. I lost 3 cats before him.
This was last winter.

I am sorry to hear about your cats, my condolances. I've lost a lot of cats in my 48 years, but it still hurts just as bad every time. It is always very sad to loose a cat. (hugs)

He was laid to rest yesterday, not too far from our other late cat.

truly sorry to hear about all of your cats. sometimes loosing a pet is just as bad as loosing a family member, in a sense, they are your family. but alas, their souls still live on.
