A list of my favs that are out on my bookshelf. -The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood. (like one of my only "grownup" books. *laughs*) really good. -The Princess Bride by William Goldman. If you haven't, you should read it. -Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. Amazing story. -The Complete Fairy Tales of the Brothers Grimm. They own! ^.^ -Inside the Kingdom by Carmen Bin Ladin. Haven't finished yet though. -The Lefthander Syndrome by Stanley Coren. Haven't started, but seems interesting. ^.^ Yay lefties!

Great Idea!!!
I think this is a great list. How is the Handmaid's Tale? I've heard of it, but not read it? I have read a lot of Grimms Faery tales. They are fabulous... the symbolism in those things is totally heavy. I will look for a site that still explains Carl Jung's explaination of what those Grimm brothers were really trying to tell us. It is really deep because he explains how they used symbols to tell us about human nature in those stories.
Some of my fav books are
The Nag Hammadi Scriptures, The fire from within - Carlos Castaneda... or anything else by him. The Talisman, by Stephen King and Peter Straub.. I think.. need to look but pretty sure that's who helped him write that. Weave World by Clive Barker Books of Blood by Clive Barker Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis Carl Jung on Dreams ... or anything else by Carl Jung
I am also reading a book called Forbidden Faith, but I keep misplacing it. I can't find it right now to tell you who wrote it. It is about the history of persecution... of certain beliefs. It totally gives me past life flashbacks. I can only take a little at a time, and I keep misplacing it in between.

Interestingly enough, i picked up "The Talisman" by Stephen King without ever reading it or hearing about it (as i often do with books). Since ive read a good many of his, i figured why not.. Thanks KG for reccomending it. I will be sure t give it more attention now.
As far as book recommendations go...off the top of my head:
Tao of Pooh by Benjamin Hoff Te of Piglet by Benjamin Hoff The Traveler by John Twelve Hawks The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield Conversations with god by Neale Donald Walsch Fire starter by Stephen King Communion by Whitley Strieber Lies my teacher told me by James W. Loewen Brave new world by Aldous Huxley Disappearance of the Universe by Gary Renard American gods by Neil Gaiman
some of these books ive spent all too many waking hours trying to finish....and i loved every second. I hope some of you can find some of these an enlightening read.

Well my recommendations are kinds across the spectrum. So for those that have nothing to do with my studies, here is wha I recommend:
Letter to Earth by Elisa Wise {spiritual insights - a VERY good book}
The Anita Blake Vampire Series by Laurel K Hamilton {warning, the series gets really graphic towards the middle}
THe Meredith Gentry Faery Series by Laurel K Hamilton {same warning applies}
I picked those two series only because of how well the author tells the story. They are good reads.
The Dark-Hunter and Dream-Hunter Series by Sherrilyn Kenyon
Highlander Series by Karen Marie Moning {warning, hese are romance novels}
Ok, so I may be a little on the essentric side: spiritual insights and sexually driven plots....
Do notice how sex ties into metaphysics and Magic, because in reality, it truly does...the books I collect says just that....
