Well this thread is defined as "Discussions about the connection between body mind and spirit" so this seems as good a place as any to post this. www.nexusmagazine.com/articles/CellularMemories.htmlI've also found that a lot of psi vampires (not sure of sang) start to exhibit the traits of their donor, i.e. thinking and feeling like them, acting and reacting like them, things that seem small at first, but gradually become a common happening, especially if they have one donor, or if they have had a long connection with a donor. From the above article it seems that physical memory is closely connected to spiritual memory. This also brings up the topic of "blood memory". I describe blood memory as descendants of a certain culture having memories that were not theirs, but came from there ancestors. It can mostly be found in stories and folk lore of cultures, how it seems so easy to picture some stories, and it always feels like you've lived them yourself. Kind of like awakening as an otherkin and sorting through memories, only these aren't your own. Personal: And one more thing on blood memories. I've gone through and actually done a meditation (one I made for myself) to explore my heritage. Some parts of it I'm still trying to believe are real, even when I've asked others and they say it's real. But what I do know is that I experienced choice parts of what my ancestors did, and I know what lands I come from. It's pretty cool. Granted I choose to only explore a specific path so it wouldn't take me two hours versus 15 minutes, I explored my mother, to my grandmother, to her mother, and then her mother, etc. Just more food for thought. ^.^

perhaps, then, past lives are genetic, that we are not our minds and bodies, but our genetics that created them?
that could easily explain why everyone was cleopatra in a past life lol

Lol, no I don't believe past lives are genetic. I believe they've come from the soul and that only the soul can experience it. The body is only useful to store current information, all the data that has happened to it in one life. Which is why I can only find out what happened to my ancestors in that one life. I cannot track down their soul and relive everything it has, souls carry on the memory of all lives, tracking would be useless to me. I believe that blood/ the physical body functions as a log book of the lives it is connected too. Meaning it is only good for one experience (life) of one soul. Personally, I can tell the difference between my life and the life of my ancestors (no cleo was not my ancestor xD). And as far as I know, none of my direct ancestors set foot in Egypt.

What Mem has said here is very interesting, and taking in someone else's energy does also transfer their spiritual traits, and their attitudes. In the astral this can come in the form of food eaten in someone else's area, or given by another entity. Do not accept food from someone you don't like in the astral. You could take on their energy, and it may impact your character in some way. I mean you could probably nuteralize that if you knew how, but it might cause all sorts of problems if you didn't.
Of course Mem I think, is speaking of a cellular level in the astral, not the physical body. I have seen a lot of movies about transplant patients getting characteristics of their donars, but that doesn't usually happen obviously. Getting a heart transplant, doesn't make people become in any way like the person who donated the heart, or at least not commonly. That is because it is the physical heart that is transplanted, not the heart chakra.
I believe that some people are repeatedly incarnated into the same families while others are randomly incarnated into all types of cultures and groups. It has to do with who you are specifically and how you are made. I think children of Gaia are usually born into certain families or at least cultures over and over, but Sophians are usually, but not always random. People who are incarnated randomly, can be born into families who are usually incarnated in linages, and there is usually a reason for that.
I also know that transfering your energy also transfers a certain amount of information, unless you know how to block it. Of course the other person would also have to know how to read it, in order to understand it. Usually though the energy just carries the emotional intent, and general character of the donar, though other details might be brought too.
A gifted individual can read anyone's experiences if they want to, and there is no limit to what you can find out if you are patient enough, also needing to know for some reason, can make it easier to obtain information, because if you need to know other entities will see that and help you.
Mind and body are connected so that whatever the mind knows even subconsciously is going to resonate within the body. Thus the body will react to a past life memory if it is powerful enough, but that mean it originated in the body.
I have often wondered why so many people remember being Cleo myself, or Nepolian, or other historical figures. I think most of it is a psychological thing, and a matter of people getting swept away by a story, and also people jumping to conclusions. "I seem to be in Egypt. I must be Cleopatria!" Another explaination could be multiple souls within the same body. Often bodies house more than one soul, and a soul can also split in some cases and become two souls, or come together and become one. I somehow doubt that Cleopatra was that divided, but she could have been a spiritual mother to many people, who remember her because she gave her energy to create them. I am not sure of Cleo's position, but it could be that she was an incarnate Aeon, or goddess of some type.
