Miss Molly, AKA Miss Baby, AKA Pastries, is having surgery as I type this. She was pregnant, and only delievered one kitten on Saturday morning. She has two more in her but her labor stopped and has not started back. I had hopes of her delivering the rest on Sunday, as a few websites said that it was possible for cats to deliver kittens 24 to 48 hours apart, but it has been over 60 hours and the vet holds little hope for a live birth of the other two. He does believe he can save the mother. He says it is a dangerous situation though, so please pray for our cat.

We are very relieved. There were no other kittens, so it was a simple spay operation instead of the awful and dangerous surgery the vet had planned. Instead of more kittens, Miss Baby's bowels had gotten blocked during the pregnancy and she was very very constipated. She apparently had not gone in weeks, and that was the lumps we were feeling and thought it was another kitten. She was very big still. The vet said he had not even suspected what it was either. In any case he can fix that much easier, and it is a good thing we brought her in though, cause that was causing problems that would not have solved themselves either. Anyway we were very relieved that she will be OK. I have to stay up tonight and feed the kitten every two hours, but that's the extent of that. We only have one kitten, after all.
