I don't know if this is staying up too late playing old PS2 games, or what...
Last night I was laying in bed and I felt like I was awake. I could see everything in my room as I normally could with the lights out and all that. I looked out the window, it was about midnight and I saw swirling blue clouds, like in daylight colors and all that, but it was still dark out. I thought I stood up and looked out the window, but I don't remember feeling like I left my bed. It was like the bed was still attached to my back or something. Things just didn't seem right. I was walking around because, as far as I knew, I was just unable to sleep. I felt really tired but restless. I seriously thought I was awake until I went down to get a glass of water.
I saw, what looked like some kind of soldier standing in the kitchen looking around until he saw me. Then he looked outright confused. He had no weapons I could see as well and the only way I could tell he was military, was the way he stood and talked. I couldn't understand him. It sounded like he was speaking Arabic or something similar. He had a symbol on his shoulder which is what made it really odd. Once I get my scanner oparational, I will atempt to draw it and I'll post.
Remember though, I felt like I was well awake... I almost attacked him. He kept trying to warn me about something but we coudln't get passed the language block. He looked human but something about him made me think otherwise. It was odd. He spoke urgently, as I said, like he was trying to warn me about something.
Right now, I'm feeling abnormally weak and cold. I've turned off my AC and it's about 78 in my room right now. I know I'm not sick though.

being ill may have a lot to do with it... plus if you're taking any medications, that'll add up as well.

i always imagined constantly being OOB, watching my body from the outside, but still functioning like normal... just from a "third person perspective with rotatable camera"... haha that'd be so cool, cuz no one could sneak up on me with my higher senses and perceptions!

Or you could do a google image search. Just type in symbol, if that doesn't work, try insignia. It might turn up something similar, and give a clue as to what this guy was about.
Did the soldier appear to be middle eastern. You said he seemed to be speaking arabic. How was he dressed? You don't know what the warning was about? I've been getting warnings and messages that I dont' understand either. I hate that feeling.
Congrats on the OBE! That part is cool, but not your chills and exhaustion. Sometimes it is that way though after an experience, as you well know.

He had on brown and black clothes, plainly colored. Not all all did he wear any kind of uniform except the patch... It kind of looked like Tyr's rune... only inverted, and with a snak coiled around the straight part with its head looking up. (Tyr's rune looks like an upwards pointing arrow)
I still can't piece together what he was saying. I wish I knew some form of Arabic now...

Arabic is really hard to learn, so I wouldnt' suggest trying to learn it expressly for the reason of interpreting this...'vision'(?) But if you have a friend whom can speak arabic you should most deff. see if you can relay to him/her what you heard from this 'soldier'.

I'm interested in the idea that it was tyr's rune... even if it was upside down. Of course arrows are common, upward and downward so it doesn't mean... but I have been forced to read up on norse mythology, because of my visions, and those of my youngest daughter. She saw this last night. Black Sun: the Black Sun was probably a bindrune of 12 sowilo runes that represented the rays of the sun, it was a cosmic sign that symbolized the eclipse and sometimes even the end of the world (Ragnarök) She called it a black sun, and said the rays appeared to be made of barbed wire. She said she saw it as having a whispy body though, and she saw the sun as a head. She's been seeing this one for weeks... and calls it the crow man. Raven: the raven was associated with the god Wodan, who had two ravens named Huginn ("Memory") and Muninn ("Thought"); according to Germanic mythology this two birds flew over the nine worlds every day after which they would land on Wodan's shoulders to tell him what they had seen, one of Wodan's Old Norse nicknames was Hrafnagud ("Raven's god"). The raven was associated with battle, death, and victory, some Viking leaders carried a raven banner into battle because they believed it would make an army invincible for its enemies. Now Sarah hasn't seen these sites, but she drew the images for me today, and I found them as I was looking for the Tyr Rune. Gary told me last week, that I would not be able to understand this... er... problem or whatever it is they are trying to warn me about, till I recall and own up to my Norse past life. I remember some of it, but I need to remember more details apparently. For some reason I have never really researched a lot of Norse Legends. It is strange really considering how much I research stuff. Gary infered that I was being phobic about it, and subconsciously avoiding it, but I am trying to make up for that now, but researching it. Anyway Sarah's visions are definitely Norse in origin. Gary described and helped me see a Norse visitor who arrived on a Golden Mare. He cannot enter the castle but he stood in the doorway... portal. I knew then I had to research more norse legends. I believe my visitor is some type of Jötunn - Norse Giant. Today Sarah and I did a vision quest together. Kata's form appeared and went with us. I have no idea if he was aware or not. He just appeared. He does that when I do something stupid and dangerous usually. Anyway we backwards tracked my Norse visitor, into his world of darkness and snow. It was very dark, and the snow was deep. Suddenly a guy fell out of a tree, and just as we were wondering what that was all about, A horse appeared, and he was so close to me all I could see was his eye. It was amazing I could see that. He was a huge warhorse, and had no problem carrying us. He rode to a little house and we saw Baba Yaga the forest witch. The horse took us straight to her house. I recognized her right away. I have read about her before. She came out and looked at us. She put her hand on Sarah's protective amulet, and recognized it. She seemed to approve of it, and sat down... right in the snow. She was trying to tell us something but all of a sudden we were attacked by a boar. We subdued or more like avoided him without harming him, but then he and Baba Yaga began to fight and we decided to leave. Apparently his quarrel was with her not us anyway. I said goodbye to the horse before I left. He seemed to be the only entity we encountered there that I was positive was on our side. I am not sure about the rest of those guys, including the dark lord who appears in my doorway. I have no idea what all this means, if it is literal or symbolic or what, but it is weird. I guess my abilities are back though. I know that much. I am wondering if our visions are related, and if so is what you saw tyr's rune inverted? I am continuing to search for in inverted arrow, and snakes, but also looking at Tyr's rune, and what the implications of seeing it inverted might be. The idea of inverting a rune is a common practice. Part of casting runes has to do with whether they land upright or inverted. I got this from a Rune divination site. Tyr Rune Inverted: Danger may arise from hasty or illtimed actions. Associations may be short lived, but remember that they have served their purpose. Are outcomes your goal, or are you focused on the task for its own sake? Look within for the answer. I am sure it has a more cool, ancient, universal, or at least less campy meaning, but that is what comes up on most rune divination sites, word for word. Anyway the rune can be reversed for opposite type meaning. I found this for the Tyr rune itself. So perhaps think of opposites of this. Also it might be relivant to mention that Tyr lost his hand to a wolf. teiwaz : Tyr Phonetic equivalent: t DIVINATORY MEANINGS: duty, discipline, responsibility, self-sacrifice, conflict, strength, a wound, physicality, the warrior path MAGICAL USES: protection, victory, strength, strengthening the will, healing a wound I'll keep looking for the inverted arrow with the snakes, but so far no luck on that. I knew it was Tyr's rune... It's an instincual thing for me. Tyr is a guide to me while Odin and Loki both are somewhat of patrons to me. Don't ask about how I got both... It makes no sense to me either, even after they explained.
As for the snake... It could be Jörmungandr, though I almost doubt that. If that were true, it could mean a great many unfortunate things. THe other thing that really puzzles me about my vision is the Arab. I don't see how that fits into anything Norse at all. He clearly was an Arab soldier though.

I think it is quite possible that the snake is Jörmungandr. I am seeing signs that Ragnarök is coming... or might come.
The world where the forest of Baba Yaga is has gone dark. So dark that one can barely see their hand in front of their face. I don't think it was just night there. I got the feeling it is dark all the time now. Our vision would have been very uneventful, if Sarah had not produced a light, and had our eyes not eventually adjusted to the darkness. It is also snowing there, as I told you about in that PM. I am sure now that The horse we rode on was the mount of Baba Yaga's dark (k)night. I wonder what happened to him? Baba Yaga has three riders who serve her. One on a white horse, one on a red horse, and one on a black horse. I have a visitor rider coming from there on a golden horse. Red and Gold are interchangable sometimes in midevil european literature, so that may account for the color difference. The reason for that is because gold was used in the making of red glass and paint. They often described gold as red, and red as gold, so that could explain it, either that or she has aquired a fourth horse over the centuries... Four horsemen are described in Revelations... a red, a black, a white, and a pale horse. I don't know if that is related or not, but it jumped out at me as I was typing it.
Baba Yaga is sometimes sought for her wisdom, by the most desperate questors, according to legend. That inspite of her reputation for cooking and eating children with her iron teeth. She can be helpful, but she won't harm the truely pure at heart... which kind of conflicts with the whole child eating story. Norse myth, unlike any I have read before seems full of contradictions. There don't seem to be a lot of obviously good guys, or bad guys... the worst of them can be helpful. They seem to have some at least useful characteristics, and the best of them seem to be a bit scary... except for Oden and Tyr. They seem very benevolent.
Of all the Norse entities I have met and read about so far, the only one I truely understand is the black horse. He communicated with me better than the others. It was pretty obvious that he was trying to comfort me, and that he wanted us to ride him. He had the most gentle eye. I say eye, because he came up so close all I could see was his eye, and the side of his face. He just looked at me and I understood that he wanted to help. He seemed to know what was going on and what to do... the rest of everything I saw seemed chaotic. Baba Yaga recognized me, and called me Mercy, but she didn't get to tell me anything because of the boar attack. We restrained the pig, for a while but then it got loose. Then we had to leave. I didn't really want to harm the boar, considering I didn't know what was going on, but he did attack us at first. I found it all very confusing.
As for the guy being Arab, I really can't figure that out, unless the arab was Norse in a past life. That could be possible... or he could be an adept aware and interested in the Norse gods for other reasons. Also it is possible that something going on in the arab world that has gotten the attention of the Norse dieties. Maybe they are also concerned about the war in Iraq? Why not? the whole rest of the world is. Both fundamentalist Christians, and Fundamentalist Arabs believe that this war could lead to Armegeddon or basically a final Gehad... which is roughly similar to Ragnarök. It all spells the end, and an end most everyone would rather not happen yet.

Just on the strain of Tyr, as I was reading this, I was all like, dude, this is friggin' awesome. That mainly comes from the fact that I wear the rune of Tyr on a necklace. This is the one necklace that I almost always have on. The rare times that I take it off are when I have to dress up for something (which is rare in itself)
I have a strong personal tie to Tyr, and though I hold no one as my patron, he is one f the ones that I fully respect
Perhaps Ragnarok will come, but the question is when. And where? Physically? Astrally? Both? Both at the same time? Or will one act like a domino and start the fall of the other?

That is cool. I am glad you have ties to such an upstanding entity. When it comes to Norse mythology, I am less certain who i am tied to. I seem to have afiliations but they make no sense, because I don't remember, but they don't seem as benevolent and positive as most of my other afiliations.
Baba Yaga is technically a russian folk tale, but her legend is much older and dates back at least to 300 AD. Norse. seemed very familiar, and treated me like an old friend. She called me Mercy, and didn't question that I was there... only more of a where have you been for so long kind of feeling. I knew it was her. Baba Yaga means witch similar to the the witch in Hansel and Grettel for those of you who are having trouble placing her. There are many Russian folk lore stories about her, but Hansel and Gretel is the only one that is completely Americanized.
Older purer stories are out there. They are even more creepy than Hansel and Grettel. Of course even ledgend establishes there is more than one Baba Yaga... According to legend there are three sisters all named Baba Yaga, but on a looser interpretation, it basically translates to wicked witch in Russian.
she was very familiar and friendly. That kind of worries me. For one thing I didn't know Baba Yaga had friends. She's talked to me since my vision, and she seems warm and friendly. She asked for help... We discussed her problems for a long time. Basically she can't make the sun rise in her world. Normally her three horsemen servants bring about daybreak, sun rise, and nightfall, but now it doesn't matter how her horses and horsemen run around. She raises horses, and has a lot of mares. She feels responsible.
It isn't the same darkness we were dealing with, it is JUST the absense of light, but it is serious. It snows constantly there now, and just logically speaking, if the sun doesn't come up, it won't ever melt, and it just keeps snowing???
I don't fully understand so I have been reading up on her. Before all this I had read one fairy tail about her when I was about 12. Honestly I don't remember much about it other than the title. I've been reading about her like mad since though.
Well, no one really knows what will happen, or if it will happen now. Generally many of us believe the veil will fall... which means astral and physical will become one thing. I have a lot of problems visualizing this, and seriously hope it doesn't happen while there is so much nastiness in the astral, and nastiness here on earth. I'd much rather it would happen during a better time when people and entities were in a more positive frame of mind.
I really think that Ragnarok, The biblical last days, and all the other doomsday stories from antiquity are all talking about the same occurance, but they see it so differently that it is hard to really boil it down into something we understand. Revelations alone is highly confusing, but when we look at the other stories, it becomes almost impossible to figure out what in the heck is going to happen, or when. I am not preticularly hung up on the Myan date of 2012, but it is one of the few dates we have, that are still out there, and haven't already come and gone. Overall... I'd as soon put this off as long as possible. I really don't like the idea of impending doom, so I try to fight the inevitable, astrally. Also it is possible this is something else, and not the end. It could just be yet another negative wave of mishaps. I see it as a coming dark age, where ignorance abounds, and the best of men become self righteously evil, and those villians in the astral rain down plagues on us all... and it will go on like that for a long time. I think we are already being manipulated by fear though, and I don't want to intensify that. I hope I am wrong in my visions and just being manipulated myself. I don't know though so I am just saying things are on a negative spin right now, and it could be something really bad. At the same time, knowing the nature of things if we all expect bad it will definately come about by our hand, so I feel like we should be singing about sunshine and rainbows, and hoping for the best... yet being fully aware that the worst will happen if we don't.

I've been doing a little bit of research today. The prelued to Raknarok will be the Fimbulvetr (Great Winter). This cold be taken as the sagas state, "three winters upon the world with no sun to melt the ice" or one VERY bad winter.
Farmers almanac, Poor Richard's Almanac and several others I'e looked at say that we are in for a rough winter this year. So far, the weather's been milder than usual. Over all, this year has been about 10 degrees cooler than it should have been. I would expect it to continue into winter. It may be nothing, but it's something to think about.

Really? Snow... of course weather tends to be local. I wonder how the weather is in northern Europe and Russia and such. That would be the indicator for Nordic legends like Raknarok. I've been hearing about the polar ice caps melting and such. Greenland is thawing and Polar bears are drowning... stuff like that. There are massive climate changes though. Hot spots and cold spots... shifts. Someone was saying that the polls are shifting. They say that global warming will cause changes in the climate that will make some placed colder, some dryer, and some more moist. They will be huge changes like if the hymalayas melt, then the land below will turn into a desert. I don't really understand the science, but the models and predictions done by scientists who do that for a living, look very impressive, and frightening. I haven't noticed it being cooler here. It seems awful hot really, but maybe it is my age creeping up on me. LOL Until a last month there there was a drought sort of thing here. For the past couple of years our water table has been low. Then we got like a foot of rain in one day, and it was rainy alot last month, so they said we were almost back to normal. All this summer, and last the big cities were rationing water, and not letting people water their grass... darned if I know why you'd wanna do that anyhow, but apparently city folks do. Here I just figure I don't have to mow as often, and that is a good thing right? Anyway I thought we were having a heat wave, but it might just be me having hot flashes. I do agree the weather has had some odd changes though. Apparently at least one world in the astral is having trouble with cold, darkness and constant snow. I really hope that stays astral, and doesn't start in the physical. With fuel costs up so high that would really hurt a lot of people.
