Has anyone else noticed that things in the physical that have a rather large following, be they games, stories, or movies, seem to have an effect on the astral? Lately, when I project, I've been seeing similarities between what is happening to the area around one of my friend's astral swellings to a game that we've both been playing for a while called Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War. The area around his astral home is slowing being taken over by a group that reminds me a HELL of a lot like the Imperium of Man. Along with that, I've seen entire areas that remind me of Star Trek for years now but I've never thought anything of it. Same with the book Eragon... the elves I've seen remind me of that book. I don't know, maybe I'm just thinking too much on it, but it's still something to think about. i dunno about the astral, but i do know that games tend to take on a lot of the spiritual sort of things, for instance, Tales of Phantasia is all about mana and magic, and a group of kids who save their world's mana from a nearly all powerful being. a tremendously beautiful story too wit ha heart wrenching ending... wouldnt want to spoil it for ya but it is basically based on a lot of norse and paganism beliefs. there is a tree of life, and there are the old gods, Oden, Thor, and... um Fenrir was it? i forget, but yeah it is an awesome game, and beautifully crafted story. only available in japan, or for download on an SNES Emulator. there is also cartoons, such as full metal alchemist, and naruto that follow a lot of spiritual things like the chakras, and energy works. i would say that these entertainment media outlets and the true spiritual aspect actually fuel each other kind of like a yin-yang deal.

Tales of Phantasia does sound beautiful. So you can download it? Here is the link to the game site I found, and thought these people were talking about the astral at first. I think you would find it facinating Founder. It is a LOT like your history, as well as my war. IT is Sweedish, and not on computer either I don't think, it seems to be an old fashioned RPG. Hard to even get all of it in English. kult-rpg.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?fid=2

I know what you mean there. I find references to history and watch different movies that upset me. I refused to watch the New Titanic. I saw an old version of it, and it upset me really bad. Devine was just telling me about it, not just the movie, but research on the actual event, and I got so upset I had to ask her to change the subject. I don't think I was on the Titanic, but I have drowned on a ship similar to that. Physical lives have really given me more stress than astral ones. The Cathar Crusade and the inquisitons and witch trials, the black plague and all that... really bad stuff. I Hate being burned alive, but being drowned like a trapped rat is worse I think. I was wondering about the plot of Full Metal Alchemist. I have not seen it, can anyone fill me in on what that is about. The name sounds interesting. Kim

ok KG, Tales is an SNES game that was released only in japan, thus it was only for the super famicon. it wasnt until internet and emulators could anyone in america enjoy the game.
firstly, you must download a super nintendo Emulator, i reccomend ZSNES, for a few key reasons involving slow motion, fast motion, and rewind.
once you have your emulator, look up Tales of Phantasia under ROMs, and download it, store it in your Emulator folder, and run the emulator.
load the game, and enjoy! n_n

Thanks Stoner. I will tell my husband, and ask him to do that. I am not handy with things like that. If I can't get him interested then I will try for myself. LOL
Oh and thank you Founder for your great description of FF for those of us who don't game much. It sounds like those folks did their homework on entities. It is interesting; thanks for letting me know about that.
My husband plays a lot, and he tells me about this game, but I don't play most of them. We have a lot of games, but I just don't take the time... I mean I have played a few, but they get so time consuming, and once I start, I tend to get really obcessive, so I save my time for the really special ones.

What are some of the entities in Final Fantasy... I don't play a lot of video games. My husband does, but I don't pay much attention to them. I think I played Final Fantasy 7 or something like that a very long time ago, on Play station 1? but I can't remember for sure. Anyway what are the names of the monsters or bad guys in Final Fantasy, or the benevolent higher entities for that matter? Cloud, Tifa, Barret, Sephiroth, Aeris, Cid, Vincent, Yuffie, Cait Sith, Red XIII (FF7). Tidus, Lulu, Yuna, Auron, Rikku, Kimarhi, Seymour, Wakka, Jecht (FFX) Yuna, Paine, Rikku (FFX-2) Summons: Ifrit, Shiva, Leviathon, Ixion, Titan, Bahamut, Quezacotl, Siren, Pandemona, Alexander, Eden, Tonberry, Diablo, Carbuncle, Cerberus, Odin, Kjata, Phoenix, Ramus, Hades, Tythingy, Ragnarok, Raiden, Terrato, Starlet, Fenrir, Tritoch, Sraphin, Palidor, Bismark, Golem, Shoat, Phantom, Maduin, Unicorn, Brothers, Kirin, Sylph, Syldra (various games)

Some body has a lot of time on their hands. That's almost frightening although Lan can recite the strengths and weaknesses of all the units in the Warhammer 40,000 PC games, for the Eldar (elves pretty much from what I've seen, watching him play and the Tao who are just pain odd but have a vulpine sense for the greater good) blindfolded and backwards.
Tail high!

I played both FFX games. Second one wasn't as good as the first.
Final Fantasy VII, though. Now that's a good game. So is FFXII (although it doesn't have the full Final Fantasy feel to it, it's still very good).

i played about 15 minutes of FF7, does that count? XD but i beat Tales of Phantasia, and i must tell you, it is no short game, it will take AGES! and that was with the ability to "rewind" every time i screwed up! no... tales is no short game, and very difficult as well! on a side note, a friend linked me to 4 episodes.... they cut out over half the events, but the main story is the same... the end is not nearly as heart wrenching as it is in the game though. episode one: www.fantasyanime.com/legacy/top-anime_ep1.htmthe other three episodes are linked at the top. full screen is terribly pixelated, just a fair warning. and to stress, it's not as good a story as the game provides, but it is essentially the same story, and for some reason they call Dahos, "Daos"... i think they call him Dahos in the first two episodes though!!! XD anywyas, it's a good story, so if you cant play the game, watch the animation... but honnestly the game is WAY more fulfilling

Hi Stoner, I read this wrong for a moment and thought you wanted to know if playing FF7 counted as an OBE. LOL Depending on the circumstances perhaps so. LOL What were you smoking and how wrapped up in the game were you. ;D I've lost time playing games before, and that is one of the reasons I don't play much. I got tired of starting out thinking I will play for an hour in the morning, and next thing you know hours have passed, and everyone wants to know when dinner is going to be ready. Technically I don't think it would count as an OBE, but it might be considered an altered state of consciousness. LOL
